Defining Permissible Use of Services

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Onyx Platform is dedicated to providing high-quality AI voice synthesis for legitimate creative and commercial purposes. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") defines the boundaries of permissible use. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this Policy.

2. PROHIBITED CONTENT CATEGORIES

Users are strictly prohibited from using the Onyx Platform to generate, host, or distribute content that falls into the following categories:

2.1 Illegal & Criminal Activities

  • Fraud: Content that promotes, facilitates, or encourages fraudulent schemes, including but not limited to "Grandparent Scams," wire fraud, or identity theft.
  • Money Laundering: Any content related to money laundering, tax evasion, or avoiding financial sanctions.
  • Dangerous Goods: Promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, or instructions on how to assemble them.

2.2 Hate Speech, Harassment & Violence

  • Hate Speech: Content that promotes violence, incites hatred, promotes discrimination, or disparages on the basis of race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Harassment: Severe, repeated, or unwanted conduct directed at a specific person that is intended to upset or harm them.

2.3 Sexually Explicit & Adult Content

  • Nudity & Pornography: Hardcore pornography, sexual acts, or sexually explicit language is strictly prohibited.
  • Non-Consensual Sexual Content (NCSC): Any form of "Deepfake Pornography" or synthetic media depicting individuals in sexual scenarios without their consent is banned and will be reported to authorities immediately.

2.4 Gambling & High-Risk Industries

  • Gambling: Content promoting online casinos, sports betting, lotteries, games of skill with cash prizes, or any unlicensed gambling operation.
  • High-Risk Financial Services: Payday loans, binary options, or get-rich-quick schemes.

2.5 Political Misinformation & Deepfakes

  • Election Interference: Content intended to mislead voters about when or how to vote.
  • Impersonation: Creating deceptive audio content impersonating politicians, celebrities, or other public figures without clear disclosure.

3. SYSTEM ABUSE & TECHNICAL RESTRICTIONS

You agree not to:

  1. Reverse Engineering: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Onyx voice models or software.
  2. Scraping: Use automated bots, spiders, or scrapers to access the Service or extract data.
  3. Reselling: Sub-license or resell access to the Onyx API without a specific Enterprise Agreement.

4. ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS

Onyx utilizes both automated AI classifiers and human review to monitor compliance. In the event of a violation, we reserve the right to take the following actions:

  • Immediate Suspension: Temporary blocking of account access.
  • Permanent Termination: Permanent deletion of the account and all associated data.
  • Forfeiture of Funds: NO REFUNDS will be issued to accounts terminated for AUP violations.
  • Legal Action: Civil or criminal prosecution for severe violations.
